The Blob is back mother$#@!&*

Simon West has signed on to remake the 1958 horror classic The Blob, and he’s bringing Samuel L. Jackson along for the ride. It was announced earlier this year that West would helm the remake but now we have the first big name attached to the feature.

In 1958 we met The Blob as a slimy giant ball of jelly that consumed everything in its path as it continued to grow bigger and bigger. West’s plan for this new remake is to present The Blob as more sophisticated and more science based. With Jackson now on board the future looks bright for this revamp.

Jackson will star as “a biochemistry professor attempting to thwart the other-worldly predator discovered deep within the earth”.  On working with Jackson West has stated: “I have been waiting to work with Samuel L. Jackson my whole career. He is a unique talent in the industry, definitely one of a kind. I am so pleased that we will finally get to collaborate on this project”.

Filming begins this fall, anticipation for Jackson cursing out The Blob begins now.
