The critically acclaimed show will close its curtains this year. In a shock move today, NBC has announced that it will not renew Hannibal for a fourth season. In a statement, NBC said: “We have been tremendously proud of Hannibal over its three seasons. Bryan and his team of writers and producers, as well as our incredible actors, have brought a visual palette of storytelling that has been second to none in all of television — broadcast or cable. We thank Gaumont and everyone involved in the show for their tireless efforts that have made Hannibal an incredible experience for audiences around the world.” Despite a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, viewing figures have been dwindling since it started. Likely more suited for cable than network, it had always been received positively on DVR, on-demand and social media. Do you watch Hannibal? Are you sorry to see it go? Comments comments
