Yet another date change.

Last week, the news broke that Sinister 2‘s release was being pushed back a week. Well now, Gramercy Pictures has apparently reneged on that decision, returning the release to its original date: August 21st. Let’s just hope it stays there this time.

The synopsis:

In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity.

Sinister 2 is written by Scott Derrickson (the director of the first film) and C. Robert Cargill and stars Shannyn Sossamon, James Ransone, Robert and Dartanian Sloan. Ciarán Foy takes over directing duty from Derrickson.
