Breaking news from the biz According to Variety, film studio A24 and DirecTV have acquired the rights to Oz Perkin’s directorial debut February. The new psychological horror film made a huge splash at the Toronto International Film Festival last week during its premiere on September 12. February earned rave reviews from a variety of critics and has been described as “atmospheric and suspenseful.” Other films under the A24 label are Dark Places (2015), Ex Machina (2015), Under The Skin (2014), The Bling Ring (2013), Spring Breakers (2013), and most recently The Witch (2016). Clearly February is in good hands. Since A24 just closed the deal, we do not have a theatrical release date yet, but I’m predicting sometime next year. Maybe in February. Comments comments
