Well, everyone, it’s here.  The first official teaser trailer for James Wan’s The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist has been dropped just a week after the first still was released.  And it’s absolutely perfect.

The trailer starts with some eery establishing shots of the Hodgson house, with a caption saying “Enfield, London; 1977”, complete with a voiceover of Vera Farmiga’s character Lorraine Warren interviewing one of the Hodgson children, Janet (played by Madison Wolfe), about the alleged supernatural presence in the house.  It quickly goes from creepy to downright terrifying, with scenes of flying furniture, slamming doors, and sleeping children.

While the real-life story of The Enfield Poltergeist was determined to be a hoax (even though Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated and confirmed the haunting), the trailer for The Conjuring 2 looks truly fantastic.  Click play and take a look!
