I received my first tooth at the age of two-and-a-half.

The short horror film Teeth, written, directed, and produced by Daniel Gray and Tom Brown, made a splash at about forty film festivals in 2015.  It won Special Jury Recognition at SXSW, Best Animation at the Amsterdam Film Festival, Best Animation Short at the 12th Calgary Underground Film Festival, Best Animation at the NY Shorts Fest, and the Fipresci Award at the Annecy International Animation Festival.

And, now that it’s available to watch on Vimeo, it’s about to win your hearts.

Teeth tells the tale of a man who harbors a disturbing obsession with his teeth.  The film is narrated by the unnamed protagonist (voiced by Richard E. Grant) over a series of animations that range from slightly disturbing to absolutely distressing.

While Teeth is delightfully twisted and deranged, those with odontophobia and misophonia should be thoroughly warned before clicking PLAY.
