Meet your new enemy: Sleep

The new trailer to the Rod Ascher documentary is here. The Nightmare is a documentary that centers on a group of individuals and their sleep paralysis.

Premiering at Sundance earlier this year, The Nightmare has been praised as being inventive and unique for its storytelling. Similar to his previous work, Room 237, — a documentary dissecting the hidden messages behind Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining — The Nightmare uses re-creation and vivid cinematic imagery to convey its narrative.

The documentary takes a turn towards truly horrifying when the individuals begin to explain the creepy figures and death threats they would hear in their sleep. It’s truly fascinating  and and terrifying at the same time. If you have sleep paralysis, good luck sleeping after watching this.

The Nightmare is due to hit theaters and VOD June 5th. Look out Freddy Krueger – The Nightmare is gunning for you.

And for a good night sleep, you can always trust
