It will mark his first directing bid since 3 Days to Kill.

The producer/director best known for Charlie’s Angels and Terminator Salvation is now at the helm of New Line Cinema’s upcoming horror-comedy The Babysitter.

McG was already slated to produce the film under his production company Wonderland Sound & Vision, and it’s now announced he’ll also direct. Last December, the script landed on the 2014 Black List of “most-liked” unproduced screenplays.

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Babysitter will “tell the story of a lonely 12-year-old boy who’s infatuated with his babysitter and learns some hard truths about life, love, and murder.”

Nothing more is known yet, but we’re excited for this one and we’re keeping our eye on it.
