Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 11.10.53 AMJune is story about a possessed/haunted little girl who has been bouncing around the foster care system for years.  No one seems to want her around because she has a lot of baggage.  And because destruction and evil just seem to follow her everywhere.  Here’s an official synopsis:

Nine-year-old June has been shuffled in and out of foster homes for years. And though she tries to be good, no matter where she goes, a trail of chaos and terror seems to follow. It’s only when June is sent to live with a new couple, Lily and Dave, that it looks as if things might finally work out – except this innocent child with the face of an angel is possessed by an ancient, malevolent entity that has hijacked her soul. Unless June can defeat the demon within, her new family – and mankind itself – are destined for destruction.

I know, I know: horror films about foster kids, orphans, and changelings are nothing new.  With movies like Case 39, Orphan, and the classic The Omen already available to watch, why bother with another movie with a similar plot? Well, because they’re entertaining.  And we know they’re entertaining.  So we keep on watching.  Who knows? Maybe June will surprise us and be totally groundbreaking and terrifying.  Only one way to find out.

June hits theaters on October 6th.  Check out the trailer below!
