Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 4.58.22 PMToday, the powers-that-be over at FX released the opening credit sequence for the new season of American Horror Story.  The credits, complete with AHS‘s signature theme music composed by Cesar Davila-Irizarry and Charlie Clouser, promise gore, dread, and clandestine activities, all wrapped up with an overarching biblical theme.  People in the horror-sphere are speculating that the sequence is hinting at a serial killer who bases their murders on the Ten Commandments, but there hasn’t been any official confirmation.

Here’s what we do know:

Lady Gaga is playing ‘The Countess’, who owns the titular hotel and retains her youth with a steady diet of blood.

Evan Peters plays ‘James Merch’, the architect of the hotel/ demented murderer.

Lily Rabe will portray real life serial killer Aileen Wuornos.

Denis O’Hare plays a character who is profoundly inspired by Elizabeth Taylor.

Angela Bassett’s character is named ‘Ramona Royale’.  We know that the character will be fabulous because she’s played by Angela Bassett.

Sarah Paulson will play ‘Hypodermic Sally’, a drug-addicted friend of The Countess, and mortal enemy of…

Kathy Bates’ character, ‘Iris,’ the overprotective manager of the hotel.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in 6 days.  Get ready, friends; we’re in for something great.
