Creepy old toys.  Not even once.

Tonight’s short horror film selection is short, sweet, and right to the point.  Slash-In-The-Box (2011) was written and directed by Nick Everhart, and stars Elizabeth Masucci and Tyler Hollinger.  The concept is simple and fairly predictable, but Everhart, Masucci, and Hollinger manage to execute the film perfectly, bringing fresh fear and creepiness to spooky antique toys.

Slash-In-The-Box is about a man who brings home a vintage jack-in-the-box.  Laughing off his wife’s repulsion toward the classic toy, the man decides to keep it in the house.  Big mistake.

The film was recently featured on Fun Size Horror, and was the official selection at the Horrible Imaginings Film Festival, as well as the Killer Film Fest.
