High school always comes back to haunt you.

Many movies focus on, or at least have a scene about, a ten year high school reunion.  In these scenes, twenty-eight-year-olds who graduated together reunite in a hotel’s event hall, where they catch up with old lab partners and teammates, try to hook up with their high school crush, and attempt to one-up their old nemeses and frenemies.  Cinematic high school reunions usually seem comedic in nature: there are moments where someone cannot, for the life of them, remember someone’s name, mean-spirited jokes are made about how much someone’s appearance has deteriorated, and usually, it’s revealed that one or two members of the graduating class are now in the pornography industry.

Anthony DiBlasi’s upcoming film Most Likely To Die casts a deadly shadow on this tradition.  Written by Laura Brennan, the movie is about a group of friends who gather together before their reunion.  Here’s the official summary:

A group of former classmates gather for a pre-party at one of their homes the night before their 10-year high school reunion, and one by one, they are brutally slain in a manner befitting each’s senior yearbook superlative.

Most Likely To Die stars Chad Addison, Jake Busey, Tess Christiansen, Ryan Doom, Marci Miller, Tatum Miranda, Heather Morris, Skylar Vallo, Jason Tobias, Johnny Ramey, and the notorious bully, Perez Hilton.

The film has a new trailer, but no details about distribution has been released at this time.  The trailer looks thoroughly entertaining.  It’s clearly an homage to 80’s era slashers and is sure to thrill and terrify.
