It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

It’s that time of year again, folks.  Halloween Month.  An entire 31-day period dedicated to all things horror– short films, features, video games, spooky stories, books…the list goes on and on.  Last year, we celebrated by sharing a different short film every day.  This year, we’re opening the festivities to any and all horror media.  So stay tuned for reviews of movies, book selections, scary folklore, and more!

We’re kicking off this year’s Halloween Countdown with the short film We Together.  Directed by Henry Kaplan and produced by Nash Kubero and Ben KullerWe Together is a zombie film with a gut-wrenching twist: two zombies are suddenly jerked back into a state of semi-consciousness by music.  The 7-minute horror is terrifying on both a visceral level (blood and guts galore!) and a psychological one: how do you cope with the new awareness that you’ve been savagely tearing people apart?

We Together stars Martel Rudd and Kristofer McAfee, and features the incredible special effects designed by Carmen C. Wilson, Eric Fox, Kurt Ewell, Cindy Zamora, and Matthew Wauhkonen.  There’s even a killer dance number choreographed by Derek Nemechek.

Check it out here, and be sure to tune in with us every day for Halloween Countdown!
