What are you afraid of?

After over a year of edge-of-our-seats anticipation, we’re finally getting closer. The new adaptation of IT has an official release date and a trailer that’s visually stunning and scary as hell.

Andrés Muschietti’s cinematic vision of Stephen King’s classic novel follows a group of childhood friends who find themselves facing off against evil incarnate:

A group of social outcasts who are bullied by a gang of greasers led by Henry Bowers are also tormented by an evil demon who can shape-shift into a clown and feed on children’s fears and kill them. After defeating the demonic clown as kids, it resurfaces 30 years later and they must finish it off as adults once again.

Written by Gary Dauberman, Chase Palmer, and Cary Joji FukunagaIT has already gotten the seal of approval from the King himself.  So rest assured, purists.  This is gonna be good.

IT stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hamilton, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, and Chosen Jacobs.

The film premieres September 8th, 2017.  Check out the trailer here.  And remember: if your paper boat falls into a storm drain…cut your losses and move on.
